The CORALIS project is concluding its four-and-a half years journey with its upcoming final conference in Brussels to demonstrate the project’s most significant outcomes and discuss the future of circularity in European industrial zones.

📅 Date: Wednesday 19th March 2025
⏰ Time: 09:00 – 13:00 CET
📍 Location: Comet Meetings, Pl. StĂ©phanie 20, 1050 Brussels & Online

Since its inception, the CORALIS project has aimed to address the complexities of implementing Industrial Symbiosis (IS) solutions in energy-intensive industries. By focusing on technical, managerial, and economic factors, the project has established the IS Readiness Level—a critical metric to evaluate the feasibility and success of IS initiatives. CORALIS has also developed a harmonised framework for monitoring IS results and assessing their lifecycle impact.

Key features of the final conference will include:

  • Technological Solutions: Lessons learnt from the hubs.
  • Non-Technological Aspects: Making IS work from an economic and managerial standpoint.
  • Now What?: Roundtable discussions on CORALIS results’ exploitation and future investments in IS.
  • Networking opportunities with leading experts in sustainability and industrial symbiosis.

Whether you are a policymaker, industry professional, academic, or simply interested in advancing circularity in industrial processes, this hybrid event offers a unique opportunity to learn and contribute.

Join us to explore how CORALIS has laid the groundwork for a more sustainable and interconnected future for European industries.

(Kindly note there will be coffee upon arrival and during breaks as well as a networking lunch after the conference, during which participants will also be encouraged to play the CORALIS quiz game and gain prizes based on their scores)
